Juvederm® Volbella

Juvederm® Volbella is an FDA-approved dermal filler for correcting or minimizing the look of shallow fine lines and wrinkles, as well as reducing under eye hollows.

How Volbella Works

Like other fillers in the Juvederm® family of products, Volbella is made from hyaluronic acid, a natural component of the skin that reduces the appearance of wrinkles by direct volumization as well as attracting water to the treatment site.

Volbella is distinct from other hyaluronic acid fillers because its unique hyaluronic acid linkage allows for a thinner consistency when injected under the skin. The unique linking also creates a filler that offers longer-lasting outcomes.

What Volbella Treats

Volbella is excellent at treating mild wrinkles and fine lines, particularly around the mouth. Volbella is also an excellent choice for improving under eye hollows or tear troughs.

Volbella Side Effects

Treatments require little or no downtime. In some cases, a patient may experience side effects that may include mild redness and discomfort at the injection site after treatment, which should subside within a few days. Most patients do not experience visible side effects and even come in for treatment during their lunch breaks.

What to Expect During Treatment

When you visit Juniper Dermatology for a Volbella treatment, your provider will first listen to your concerns to better understand your goals. Then based on your aesthetic goals, your practitioner will explain the various treatment options to you and will help you understand which treatments are best for you. During your consultation, you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions to fully understand what to expect from your customized treatment plan.

During the injection process, topical anesthesia will be applied, after which we will use very thin needles to inject Volbella under the skin. Discomfort is kept to a minimum.
